Notes on Working Solo

Running Atomik Software on my own means I do everything: the code, the support, the invoices, and the decisions about what to build next. It is a lot, but it also keeps the feedback loop short.

The main thing I have learned is to protect my time for deep work. Small requests are endless, and if I answer every one the moment it arrives, no real building gets done. So I batch the small things and guard a few long blocks each week for the hard problems.

It is not for everyone. But being close to both the code and the people using it is the part I would not trade.
